CAS Hanwei Katana

The Tori katana offers a blend of elegant furniture and a folded powder-steel blade along with the functionality of our Performance Series. It showcases a Tsuba and Fuchi/Kashira themed "Flying Crane" with Menuki in Kabuto or Japanese helmets. The high-quality brown leather Tsuka-ito is wrapped over black Same. The Saya is finished in a textured brown and wrapped at the mouth with black-lacquered rattan. This katana embodies the classic design elements of the most prolific sword design in history. With a strong Shinogi Zukuri shape, these blades accentuate the differential heat treatment and are traditionally proportioned to appeal to collectors, while also performing well in general cutting of hard or soft targets.
