Trondheim Viking Sword - Damascus Steel by Hanwei

The sword is modelled after weapons unearthed in the vicinity of Trondheim, Norway and reflects the style of the early ninth century, a period when Norwegian Vikings raided Britain and Ireland. The blade's beauty is complemented by a handle and sheath both swathed in top grain leather and adorned with a classic Viking motif. The terms "Damascus steel" or "welded pattern" refer to a fused composite steel made from two or more different types of steel. It is named after its birthplace, the ancient city of Damascus in Syria, renowned for its production of stamped steel. Manufactured by Cas Hanwei, the sword is made of steel with a higher carbon content and a smoother low carbon steel. It measures 77 cm in total, with a blade length of 61 cm, and weighs approximately 1100 g. The leather cover is wrapped around a wooden core.
