The popular symbol of the "Three Wise Monkeys," representing the proverb "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," is widely recognized in various cultures worldwide. It is believed that the proverb originated in China and was later introduced to Japan by a Buddhist monk. The association with three monkeys, however, appears to be a Japanese play on words.
Our Three Monkey Wakizashi is constructed in the traditional Shinogi Zukuri style, featuring a Bo-Hi to enhance balance and reduce weight. The high-carbon blade is hand forged and differentially hardened, ensuring its durability and strength. The Tsuba, made of blackened iron, showcases the "Three Wise Monkeys" in relief. For a companion Katana, please see model SH2329.
Key features: - Forged High Carbon Steel Blade - Authentic Construction - Quality Fittings
