Kingston Arms Viking Sword

Introducing our Tourney Series sparring and stage swords from Kingston Arms, the Blunt Viking sword is designed for reenactment and stage combat, setting a new standard in this price point of reenactment weaponry. With features such as thru-tang handle construction, peened stainless steel pommel and guard, and 2mm rounded edge thickness, these swords are truly brutal weapons on the battlefield.

The cord-wrapped leather grip is designed to feel exceptional in the hand, with an oval cross-section and slight barrel shape to prevent fatigue. The grip is large enough to accommodate armored hands, and a respectable fuller runs the length of both pieces to lighten and counterbalance the swords overall. Each sword comes with a wood core and leather-wrapped scabbard tipped with a stainless chape.

The blade, forged from 9260 spring steel and tempered to around 50 HRc, provides a long-lasting sword. Special mention goes to the guard, featuring the king-peen system, which prevents the guard from going loose after a lengthy campaign without compromising the strength of the hilt. The pommel is pressed into place and hot peened, resulting in a sword that rings like a bell when struck.

The Viking sword is just the first of our Tourney Series models, with single-hand swords and others coming soon. Overall, the sword has a length of 36 1/2", with a blade length of 30", handle length of 4 3/8", and weight of 3lb 2oz. The blade steel is 9260 and the handle material is wood/leather.
